Its January! You know what this means, the Bridal Shows are hitting the convention centers! If you are engaged or thinking that it might be that time, then DO NOT skip these fun and exciting shows. Bridal shows are a great way to start planning your wedding. You get creative ideas and see the industries latest products; not to mention the free food tasting and giveaway’s. However, here are a few tips to consider when you are planning your trip to the shows.
1. Decide what you want to get out of the show. If you are going just to get ideas, find a honeymoon location, or a cake designer. Which ever is the most important is where you want to spend most of your time speaking with the representatives. If interested, in certain exhibitors, you can make appointments at their shop. By having an idea of what you want will help you stay on track at the show.
2.Makes labels with your name, address, e-mail and phone number on them. Almost every exhibitor offers giveaways or requests your information. Your hand will be tired of writing this information over and over. By having these labels will help you move quickly throughout the show. Also, you might want to create an e-mail that is soley for the bridal shows because the vendors will be sending you tons of information.
3. Most vendors give out information about their service. More times than not the show provides you with a bag but it would be awful if you had all this to lug around. So just to be safe put a sturdy bag in your pocketbook,
4. Take a pen, you will be getting so much information and business cards, that you might want to jot on the back who they were and what you liked about their booth. This will help in sorting the information at home into keep piles and throw-away piles.
Use this advice and enjoy the shows. Try and go to as many as possible. Each one is unique in its own way and you are sure to have a good time.
